URGENT ACTION ALERT: Support the Saving Kids from Dangerous Drugs Act! Senator Dianne Feinstein has introduced the bill S.258: The Saving Kids from Dangerous Drugs Act. This bill protects our children from drugs by doubling the maximum punishment for possession, sale, manufacture, or distribution of controlled substances that are “combined with a candy product; marketed or packaged to appear similar to a candy product; or modified by flavoring or coloring the controlled substance…” In other words, the bill doubles the punishment for such abhorrent creations as “pot brownies” and “shroom chocolates.” In the drug culture, it is common for abusers to combine their illicit substances with food and candy. The Saving Kids from Dangerous Drugs Act would double the punishment for such crimes against the moral integrity of our food products. Contact your Senators and tell them to protect our candy against drugs!
